ピノ・コッリーナ ファームガーデン&ワイナリー松ヶ岡

Historic Matsugaoka terroir, IWC gold-medal Koshu wines

Pino Collina Farm Garden & Winery Matsugaoka is a Japanese winery in the historic Matsugaoka reclamation area of Tsuruoka, Yamagata — a Japan Heritage site first cultivated by former Shonai-clan samurai in 1871. Vines were planted in 2017, the first estate harvest came in 2020, and in-house fermented wine has been produced since 2021 using a gravity-flow, vin naturel approach. The estate grows Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah, Nebbiolo, and Koshu across roughly 10,000 vines. Its Tsuruoka Koshu 2023 won the top gold medal at IWC 2025, and the attached farm-garden restaurant, supervised by food researcher Yoshiko Tatsumi, pairs estate wines with Shonai-region ingredients.
