Pian delle Vigne
ピアン・デッレ・ヴィーニェ
Elegant Brunello di Montalcino from the Antinori family estate.
Located six kilometers southwest of the town of Montalcino, Pian delle Vigne has belonged to the Antinori family since 1995, the year of its first vintage. The estate spans 184 hectares, of which 65 hectares are planted to vines — almost entirely Sangiovese Grosso — on south-western facing slopes at around 130 meters above sea level, on limestone-rich soils. Grapes are destemmed, gently crushed, and fermented in truncated cone-shaped stainless steel vats with roughly two weeks of skin maceration, followed by aging in casks ranging from 5 to 30 hectoliters for over two years. This large-cask philosophy preserves the integrity of the Sangiovese fruit and gives the estate's Brunello di Montalcino its characteristic vibrant elegance.
