Burgundy's largest Corton/Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru owner; Château Corton Grancey, the Côte d'Or's only named château
Founded in Aloxe-Corton in 1797, Maison Louis Latour is one of Burgundy's oldest and most prestigious négociant-domaines, currently in its 10th generation of family ownership. The estate commands 50 hectares of domaine vineyards, including an extraordinary 28 hectares in Corton and Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru — more than any other producer in the appellation. Its crown jewel, Château Corton Grancey, is the only named château on the Côte d'Or and produces a Grand Cru Corton of remarkable consistency. Louis Latour is also notably known for championing white wines from Ardèche and Coteaux Bourguignons in addition to its Côte d'Or portfolio.
