Maison Joseph Cattin
ジョセフ・カタン
Alsace's largest family estate, crafting terroir since 1720
Founded in 1720 in Voegtlinshoffen, Maison Joseph Cattin is the largest family-owned and family-operated winery in Alsace, now led by the 12th generation of the Cattin family. The estate farms over 65 hectares spread across Voegtlinshoffen, Steinbach, and Colmar, including prized parcels of the Grand Cru Hatschbourg. The winery's namesake, Joseph Cattin (1882-1963), was a grafting pioneer who helped the region overcome the phylloxera crisis. Cattin blends traditional Alsatian techniques, such as ageing in large old oak foudres, with modern winemaking to produce a wide range from crisp varietal wines to the celebrated Cremant d'Alsace; the wines are certified vegan and produced under sustainable, environmentally-minded viticulture.
