A newly established winery based in Nemuro City, on the easternmost tip of Hokkaido. Machi no Wine Factory Co., Ltd. was incorporated in May 2024 and obtained its fruit wine (kajitsushu) manufacturing license around March 2026, becoming one of the first wineries to operate in the Nemuro area — a region historically outside Hokkaido's established wine-producing districts. Its emergence reflects the eastward expansion of Hokkaido's wine industry, which now counts wineries active across the Doto (eastern Hokkaido) region.
