Le Palaie

レ・パライエ

Authentic family-run Chianti Classico from the historic hamlet of Montefioralle.

Le Palaie is a small, family-run winery in the historic hamlet of Montefioralle, on the hills overlooking Greve in Chianti. Founded in 1993 by Marco Bussotti, the estate cultivates around 2 hectares of vineyards (Sangiovese Grosso alongside small amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) and 3 hectares of olive groves, now cared for by Marco's son David and grandson Andrea. The winery favors low-intervention, traditional methods that respect the Alberese and Galestro soils typical of Montefioralle, producing Chianti Classico DOCG and IGT Toscana wines together with extra virgin olive oil. Le Palaie is a member of the Associazione Viticoltori Montefioralle, which promotes the distinct character of this Chianti Classico sub-zone, and regularly participates in the association's Montefioralle Divino festival.
