A Di Pietro family estate at the heart of Bolgheri since 1952
Il Fauno is a family-run estate in Località Sant'Uberto, Castagneto Carducci, at the heart of the Bolgheri DOC zone. The Di Pietro family has cultivated vineyards here since 1952, when Attilio Di Pietro first purchased land a few kilometers from the sea, near Bolgheri's famous cypress avenue. The estate is currently run by Marco Di Pietro. In 2023 Il Fauno officially became a new member of the Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Bolgheri DOC e Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC, joining the region's flagship appellation body. Its flagship wine, a Bolgheri Rosso DOC blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, reflects the estate's coastal, sun-drenched vineyard sites at 40-60 meters above sea level along the Via Bolgherese.
