Fattoria Santo Stefano is a family-run wine and olive oil estate owned by the Bendinelli family, located on the slopes of Monte Collegalle at 380 meters above sea level, near Greve in Chianti in the heart of the Chianti Classico zone. The estate takes its name from the ancient church of Santo Stefano a Collegalle, documented since 1137. Around 20 hectares of vineyards are planted mainly to Sangiovese, complemented by native Canaiolo, Colorino and Malvasia alongside international varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on galestro soils rich in schist and clay that lend the wines elegance and character. The estate produces Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Classico Riserva (labeled "Drugo"), Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, Rosato, Bianco IGT and traditional Vinsanto del Chianti Classico, alongside extra virgin olive oil. The family has run the property for more than sixty years, moving toward sustainable and organic viticulture while welcoming visitors for cellar tours, tastings and agriturismo stays.
