Terroir & Winemaking
A village-level blend of roughly 80-95% old-vine Mencía co-planted with local Galician varieties (Brancellao, Caiño, Sousón, Garnacha Tintorera, Merenzao). Grapes are hand-harvested mainly from Riberas do Sil, with smaller amounts from Amandi and Quiroga-Bibei, off steep slate, gneiss, and granite slopes at 400-600m elevation. About 40% of the fruit is fermented as whole clusters in small open plastic tubs, then aged for 11 months in 228-litre neutral French oak barrels. Around 12.5% ABV.
