Domaine Stentz-Buecher is a family estate in Wettolsheim, near Colmar, born from the 1975 marriage of Jean-Jacques Stentz and Simone Buecher, two long-established Alsatian winegrowing families. Starting from just 4 hectares, the estate has grown to around 13 hectares, now run by the second generation, Stéphane (viticulture and winemaking) and Céline (commercial side). The domaine has practiced organic farming since 1996 and holds Ecocert organic certification (vineyard certified 2007, cellar 2012). Farming is based on observation and respect for nature, with a philosophy of minimal intervention that lets the vines and wines evolve naturally toward purity and typicity. The estate's turtle emblem symbolizes its attachment to the land, patience, and longevity. Vineyards span three Alsace Grand Crus — Steingrubler, Pfersigberg, and Hengst (one of the few Grand Crus authorized for red Pinot Noir since 2022) — and the domaine produces the full range of Alsace varietals (Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Muscat, Sylvaner, Pinot Noir) plus Chardonnay, harvested entirely by hand.
