9th-generation organic Grand Cru estate in Hunawihr, Alsace

Domaine Sipp Mack is a family estate at the top of Hunawihr in Alsace, with winemaking on the site dating back to 1698. The estate took its current name in 1959, when François Sipp of Ribeauvillé married Marie Louise Mack of Hunawihr, uniting two winegrowing families. Today it is run by Jacques and Laura Sipp (the 9th generation, joined by their daughter Carolyn as the 10th) across roughly 24 hectares of certified-organic vineyards in Hunawihr, Ribeauvillé, and Bergheim, including prized parcels in the Grand Cru Rosacker (Hunawihr) and Grand Cru Osterberg (Ribeauvillé). Wines are hand-harvested, gently pressed, and fermented slowly on fine lees, favoring purity of fruit and a clear expression of each terroir across a range that spans fresh, early-drinking 'Tradition' bottlings to more concentrated Vieilles Vignes and Grand Cru wines, plus Crémant d'Alsace and late-harvest Vendanges Tardives / Sélection de Grains Nobles cuvées.

Yes, the estate farms its roughly 24 hectares under certified organic viticulture across Hunawihr, Ribeauvillé, and Bergheim.
Which Grand Cru vineyards does Sipp Mack own?
The estate holds parcels in Grand Cru Rosacker in Hunawihr and Grand Cru Osterberg in Ribeauvillé, both producing Riesling and Pinot Gris of particular concentration and minerality.
What is Sipp Mack's winemaking style?
Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, then fermented slowly on fine lees. The house style favors dry, precise wines that let each terroir speak clearly, from the fresh 'Tradition' range to more structured Vieilles Vignes and Grand Cru cuvées.
