Domaine Ratte is a family-run, Demeter-certified biodynamic estate in the heart of Arbois, Jura, cultivating 9 hectares across historic parcels such as Les Corvées, Grand Curoulet, Bésivette, Prélevront, La Régole, Clos Maire and La Bergère. Michel-Henri and Françoise Ratte have farmed organically and biodynamically since 1989; after decades supplying the local cooperative, they began estate-bottling their own wines in the early 2010s, and are now joined by their son Quentin. The domaine grows all five grape varieties of the Arbois appellation — Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau, Poulsard and Pinot Noir — and vinifies with minimal intervention: native yeasts, no filtration, and only minimal sulphur additions, letting the estate's limestone and marl soils speak clearly through the wines.
