A family-run estate in Marlenheim, the northern gateway to the Alsace Wine Route, tracing its winegrowing roots back to 1577 — one of the oldest documented wine families in the region, now in its 14th generation. Domaine Mosbach is directed by brothers Paul and Jean-Marie Mosbach, together with the next generation, Sylvia and Christophe. The estate farms roughly 22-23 hectares of south-facing vineyards on limestone-clay soil, about half of which lies within the Grand Cru Steinklotz, prized for the minerality it lends to Riesling and the structure it brings to Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. The traditional cellar still uses century-old oak foudres. The range covers all seven Alsace AOC grape varieties plus Crémant d'Alsace, Vendanges Tardives, Sélection de Grains Nobles and eaux-de-vie, with the house's signature bottling being the Pinot Noir Rosé 'Vorlauf' — according to family lore, a style already enjoyed by Swedish troops billeted in Marlenheim during the Thirty Years' War.
