Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss

ドメーヌ・マルク・クライデンヴァイス

Pioneering biodynamic estate in Alsace, famous for its iconic Kastelberg Grand Cru.

Located in Andlau, Alsace, Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss traces its winegrowing lineage back over 300 years, with the family's roots in the village reaching at least to the 1750s. Marc Kreydenweiss took over the family domaine in 1971 and became one of Alsace's biodynamic pioneers, converting the estate starting in 1989 and co-founding the Biodyvin association. The estate farms roughly 12-13.5 hectares entirely biodynamically, including three Grand Crus — Kastelberg, Wiebelsberg, and Moenchberg. Since 2007, Marc's son Antoine Kreydenweiss has managed the domaine, deepening its low-intervention philosophy: natural fermentation, extended lees ageing (sometimes up to three years), and minimal sulphites, all in service of expressing the raw character of each terroir — most famously Kastelberg's rare schist soils, among the few schist-based Grand Crus in Alsace.
