Domaine Gérard Neumeyer
ドメーヌ・ジェラール・ノイメイヤー
Fourth-generation organic Alsace estate anchored in Bruderthal Grand Cru.
Domaine Gérard Neumeyer is a fourth-generation family estate in Molsheim, at the northern gateway of the Alsace wine route. Founded in 1925 by an ancestor who worked at the nearby Bugatti factory, the domaine now farms 16 hectares across the hillsides of Molsheim, Mutzig, and Avolsheim, including prized parcels in the Bruderthal Grand Cru — a marl-limestone, southeast-facing site historically cultivated by Carthusian monks. The estate converted fully to organic viticulture around 2009 and continues to deepen its low-intervention practices under siblings Jérôme and Marie Neumeyer-Tonner, who took over from their father Gérard. Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Gris lead the Bruderthal plantings, alongside Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Crémant d'Alsace across the wider estate, all showing the precise, mineral-driven style typical of Molsheim's limestone soils.

- What is the Bruderthal Grand Cru and why does it matter for this domaine?
- Bruderthal is a Grand Cru vineyard in Molsheim, its name recalling the Carthusian monks who first cultivated the site. Its southeast-facing marl-limestone slope gives Domaine Neumeyer's Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Gris a distinctive combination of ripeness and mineral freshness.
