A family-run estate in Marlenheim, the northern gateway to the Alsace Wine Route, with winemaking roots tracing back to 1886, when an ancestor first presented the family's wines in Colmar and Frankfurt. Today the roughly 6-7 hectare domaine is run by Clément Fend alongside his father Serge, continuing traditions passed down through the generations. Four hectares sit on the south-facing Grand Cru Steinklotz, a chalky, stony terroir on the slopes of the Marlenberg from which the estate produces Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer, plus a small parcel of Pinot Noir prized for its finesse. The full range also includes classic AOC Alsace varietals, Crémant d'Alsace, Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles. Since 2018 the domaine has been converting to organic viticulture, using manual desuckering and leaf-thinning to tend each vine individually and let the Steinklotz terroir express itself with minimal intervention.
