Home to arguably Alsace's finest Muscat
Founded in 1965 by Renée and Bruno Sorg, the domaine began in Renée's home village of Ingersheim before relocating to Bruno's native Eguisheim in 1972. Now run by their son François Sorg together with his wife Régine and son Antoine, the estate farms roughly 12 hectares split between the two villages, with prized parcels in three Alsace Grand Crus — Pfersigberg, Florimont, and Eichberg. Guided by the philosophy that 100% of a wine's potential exists the moment the grapes are picked, the Sorg family practices sustainable, low-intervention viticulture (organic in all but certification) to preserve that potential through to the bottle. The estate is particularly celebrated for a Muscat often cited among the finest in Alsace, alongside powerful, precise Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Riesling.
