Domaine André Kientzler

ドメーヌ・アンドレ・キーンツレール

Fifth-generation master of Ribeauvillé's Geisberg and Osterberg Grand Crus, certified organic since 2023.

Domaine André Kientzler is a fifth-generation family estate in Ribeauvillé, Alsace, with roots tracing back to 1866, when Dominique Alphonse Kientzler inherited vines from his father and grandfather and later helped found Ribeauvillé's first winemaking cooperative in 1895. Today the estate farms 13.8 hectares across Ribeauvillé, Bergheim, Hunawihr, and Riquewihr, including 4.4 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards in Geisberg, Osterberg, and Kirchberg de Ribeauvillé. André Kientzler, named Winemaker of the Year by Gault & Millau in 1992, handed the domaine to his sons Thierry (winemaking) and Eric (commercial) in 2009; the estate became certified organic with the 2023 vintage. The house style favors dry, low-sugar, mineral-driven whites—predominantly Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Blanc—built for precision, purity, and long aging, and the Grand Cru Rieslings from Geisberg and Osterberg are widely regarded among Alsace's finest, repeatedly rated in the mid-90s by Bettane & Desseauve.
