Located on the border of Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent, Clos de la Roilette is a legendary estate in Beaujolais. The nine-hectare clos was acquired by Fernand Coudert in the 1960s and has been run by his son Alain Coudert since 1987. Unlike typical light Beaujolais, these wines are known for their remarkable structure, depth and aging potential, often compared to the wines of Moulin-à-Vent thanks to the clay-rich soils. The Cuvée Tardive, made from the estate's oldest vines, is particularly celebrated for its complexity and ability to evolve for many years in the cellar.
