Château Haut-Ballet

シャトー・オー・バレー

Right Bank elegance with Merlot-driven fruit and limestone finesse from a multi-appellation Bordeaux estate.

Château Haut-Ballet is a wine estate located in the Libournais area of Bordeaux, primarily producing wines under the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, with additional wines from Canon-Fronsac and Fronsac. The estate is owned by Olivier Decelle, who also owns Châteaux Jean Faure and Haut-Maurac. The vineyard benefits from limestone and clay soils on the right bank of Bordeaux, with Merlot as the dominant grape variety, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are medium-to-full bodied, offering aromas of ripe blackberries, plum, mocha, spiced wood, and a hint of clove, with smooth tannins and an approachable yet age-worthy structure. The 2008 vintage was awarded 2 stars (coup de cœur) by the Guide Hachette des Vins.
