Château Canon Chaigneau
シャトー・カノン・シェニョ
Crafted by former Château Cheval Blanc winemaker Thierry Garnaud, this hidden gem of Lalande-de-Pomerol delivers exceptional quality from clay-limestone terroir 1km from Pétrus.
Located on the Néac plateau in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, just 1km north of Château Pétrus, Château Canon Chaigneau is a 21-hectare estate with clay-limestone soils rich in iron deposits. Under the ownership of Romik Arconian and Marine Fontana since 2020, the estate focuses on natural winemaking using fewer chemicals and has earned HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) level 3 certification. Winemaker Thierry Garnaud, former maître de chai at Château Cheval Blanc for 30 years (1988–2018), crafts the Grand Vin and Cuvée 8a with minimal intervention, letting the terroir speak through Merlot-dominant blends.
