A century-old Alsace cooperative spanning a dozen Grand Cru terroirs.
Founded in 1926 by 36 winegrowers in the village of Ingersheim near Colmar, this cooperative winery adopted the commercial name Jean Geiler in the 1980s, after a celebrated 15th-century Alsatian preacher associated with optimism and creativity. Through mergers with the cooperatives of Kintzheim-Orschwiller (2022) and Hunawihr (2024), it grew into the Union de Talents d'Alsace group, today one of the largest cooperative players in the Alsace wine trade, uniting several hundred grower-members who farm vineyards spread across numerous villages, including plots in over a dozen Alsace Grand Cru terroirs such as Florimont, Sommerberg, Wineck-Schlossberg, Kaefferkopf, Hengst, Pfersigberg, Eichberg and Brand. The estate produces the full range of Alsace varietals — Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Muscat, Sylvaner and Pinot Noir — as well as Crémant d'Alsace, and holds Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) level 3 certification, with a growing range of certified organic (bio) cuvées.
