One of Alsace's oldest, most-awarded growers' cooperatives
Founded in 1957 in the village of Pfaffenheim at the heart of Alsace, this cooperative winery is one of the oldest and most awarded in the region. It brings together around 145 winegrowing families cultivating roughly 313 hectares across Pfaffenheim, Gueberschwihr (with which it merged in 1968), Rouffach, Hattstatt and neighboring villages. The cellar produces the full range of Alsatian varietals — Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Cremant d'Alsace — including prestigious Grand Cru bottlings from Steinert, Goldert and Zinnkoepfle. Since 2022 its wines have been distributed internationally through a partnership with Arthur Metz (Les Grands Chais de France), while the cooperative itself remains independently owned by its member growers. Pfaff wines have repeatedly won top honors at the International Wine and Spirit Competition and AWC Vienna, including Best French Wine Trophy and White Wine Producer of the Year.
