Barolo Cannubi Muscatel

バローロ・カンヌビ・モスカテル

Cascina Bruciata

Nebbiolo

About this wine

An extremely limited Barolo from a tiny plot in the heart of the legendary Cannubi cru — historically the first cru vinified by Marchesi di Barolo, the family that acquired Cascina Bruciata in 2016. Fermentation is spontaneous with extended skin maceration, followed by aging in French oak before further time in bottle. The result is an intense, wide-ranging nose of ripe red fruit, cherry and plum with sweet spice, cumin and cinnamon, carried by a thick tannic structure balanced by fresh acidity.

Beginner's Note

A serious, structured Barolo best suited to those already familiar with Nebbiolo's power — not the easiest starting point, but a rare chance to taste Cannubi fruit.

Sommelier's Note

"Cannubi is the most storied hillside in Barolo, and Cascina Bruciata's tiny holding there — now under Marchesi di Barolo, the very estate that pioneered vinifying this cru — makes this one of the rarest bottlings in their range worth hunting down."

Food Pairings

A wine for the richest, most classic Piedmontese occasions: braised beef in Barolo (brasato al Barolo), white truffle risotto, aged Parmigiano Reggiano, and roasted game.

When to drink it

How long should this Barolo be cellared?
Like most Cannubi Barolos, it benefits from at least 7-8 years of bottle age and can continue developing for 20 years or more in good storage conditions.
