Cà Brusà

カ・ブルザ

Family-run, organically farmed Barolo estate rooted in Monforte d'Alba since 1890.

Cà Brusà is a family-run wine estate in the heart of Monforte d'Alba, Piedmont, where the Marengo family has cultivated vines since 1890, when Domenico Marengo settled the property. The estate's name, meaning "burned house", recalls a fire that destroyed the original farmhouse in 1850. Today Diego and his son Luca tend roughly 10 hectares planted mainly to Nebbiolo, alongside Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, and Langhe Nascetta, producing traditional, organically farmed Barolo — including the acclaimed "Menico" and "Bricco San Pietro Vigna d'Vai" bottlings — as well as other Langhe wines. Grapes are hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, and aged in a mix of small oak barrels and large oak casks. The property also operates as an agriturismo and trattoria run by Diego's wife Rita and their son, chef Dario, offering guests traditional Langhe cuisine alongside the estate's wines.
