Antico Borgo di Sugame is a small organic estate in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, overlooking the Greve valley at an altitude of 500 meters. The hamlet of Sugame has existed since around 1200 AD ("Antico Borgo" means "ancient hamlet"), and the property was acquired in 2000 by Lorenzo and Catrina Miceli, who converted the farm to organic viticulture. The estate spans roughly 31 hectares in total, with about 5 hectares of south-west-facing vineyards, plus olive groves and woodland. Wines are predominantly Sangiovese, occasionally complemented by small amounts of Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, producing Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, and Toscana IGT bottlings alongside an agriturismo business.
